It's time we had more dancing in York, don't you agree?! I am a dance facilitator & have created 'Dancing on Life' so that more people in York can dance & have FUN. There are no steps to learn. You don't need a partner, you can dance on your own, or with others if you want to.
Dancing for fun!
The music will begin gently & be quite meditative. It will gradually build up & up until it becomes wild / ecstatic & eventually calms down again. There are no steps to learn. You can just allow your body to move however it wants to at the time. This is not a performance. Rather it's a chance to let your body be drawn in by the music ~ a time to be FREE, to have fun.
The Music for 'Dancing on Life'
The music is extremely varied & is chosen to inspire you to dance. It can take you to that quiet, meditative place inside yourself & other times the other extreme of a sense of wildness and then of course anywhere in between. Examples of types of music that may be used within one session: Reggae, Trance, Pop from the 1960's to 2011, Indian, African, Big Band & much more....It will be Fabulous Fun on a variety of levels.
Of course it goes without saying that you will get as little or as much exercise as you want to.
